A balayage offers natural-looking highlights with a soft grow-out that blends with your roots. This is for those that want the “sun-kissed” look or are tired of highlights leaving a noticeable line.

Colouring

Colour Melting

A colour melt is great for those looking for a colour with multiple shades that blend together naturally. My personal fave is a chocolate brown melted into a light caramel.

 Lowlights

For those looking for more dimension or a more natural look, lowlights are typically the same shade as your base colour or lighter. A great option if you feel too much of one colour and want more depth.

Post-Lightening

Root Smudge

If you enjoy being light but also want a soft grow-out, you’ll want to get a root smudge or “shadow root”. Colour is applied to the root area typically after your highlight service.

Root Melt

For those looking for light mids and ends with a soft grow-out that melts your natural into other tones, get a root melt. Colour is applied to the root and into the mid-section further down than a root smudge.
